Description: This thimbleweed can grow to 3 feet tall. It prefers medium to dry conditions in full to part sun. Soil preference is sandy to gritty. Both this species and A. virginiana are resistant to mammal browse because the foliage irritates the mouth and gastrointestinal tract.
